Below is an overview of our core principles, and our current concept for Glen Junor. More plans and reports are available throughout our website.

We’ve sought out some the best knowledge around the world to inform our vision, and we’re learning every day from our community about what they need.

If you have ideas you want to contribute - please get in touch.

Glen Junor core principles

A NEW MODEL

Glen Junor will be a world-class exemplar for sustainable urban living based on a 20-minute walkable neighbourhood. Minimum 7.5 Star Rated energy efficient homes. All electric. Solar Powered. Gas Free. 100% Carbon neutral (at a min).

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE

The majority of residents’ daily needs will be available within a walking distance from their home, providing opportunities for people to interact and connect with each other and nature. Glen Junor will be designed to support and encourage physical and mental wellbeing through active lifestyles, access to green space and community connection.

CONNECTED

An extensive network of off-road cycling and walking paths immersed in the natural setting will be built. This will provide safe active travel routes to connect residents to Jackson Creek, the Gisborne Gorge, the Glen Junor community assets, the train station and Gisborne town centre.

HOUSING CHOICE

A neighbourhood that offers a wide range of attainable housing choice to meet the needs of a diverse community for all life stages, abilities and incomes.
